Ambient Time has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking. Local weather and tide features use location only with your permission.
If you allow location access, Ambient Time requests reduced-accuracy device coordinates to show weather, sun, moon, and tide information for your area. You can deny this permission; clocks that do not need local conditions keep working.
To retrieve forecasts, the app sends the selected coordinates to Open-Meteo. Open-Meteo says its API logs may contain IP addresses, requested URLs, and geographic coordinates and are deleted after 90 days. For supported coastal areas, Ambient Time selects a nearby station on device and requests predictions from the NOAA Tides & Currents API. Like ordinary web services, NOAA may automatically receive the request's IP address and request metadata; see NOAA's privacy policy.
Luke Steuber does not receive or store these requests. Ambient Time does not use location or forecast data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking, and does not sell it.
Your preferences, selected or resolved location, and a short-lived cache of weather and tide results are saved on your device and shared only with Ambient Time's widgets on that same device. These values are not synced to Luke Steuber. The app sends coordinates only for the provider requests described above.
The Compliment Smart Stack card uses an offline collection bundled with the app and makes no request to choose its daily message. Activating that card opens compliments.live in your browser, where normal website privacy practices apply.
Ambient Time is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It has no accounts, advertising, or behavioral analytics.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
